The beginning rider course (BRC) is a complete course of instruction for those 16 years and older who wish to develop safe street riding skills. The course consists of approximately eight hours of classroom preparation and twelve hours of motorcycle riding activities. This provides the students with "first-hand" experience in various maneuvers which will help prepare them for the demands of street riding. No prior experience is necessary and motorcycles are provided by Cycle School of Florida, Inc. and participating dealers. The course is
required for ANYONE seeking a motorcycle endorsement.
All classes are held at the Masaryktown Community Center and the Hernando County Airport. Directions to both locations are provided when you register. Both are conveniently located off Highway 41 between Spring Hill Drive and County Line Road. Your tuition includes all instruction, use of motorcycle (or scooter), textbook, meals, snacks, drinks. During riding sessions, participants must wear a DOT approved helmet—loaners are available at no additional charge. You must provide some basic riding gear. Gear includes: • Long pants • Sturdy, over-the-ankle footwear • Full-fingered gloves • Long sleeve shirt • Eye protection
